masticator + cyclops

two amazing shapechangers

Length 2km+
Pipe type Everything!!!
Interesting points Incredible shape changes
Bad points It's more of a load of very short drains linked together
Smell rating (10 good, 0 bad) 10/10

The furthest upstream entrance to this incredible shapechanger of a drain.
After a long boring concrete box, an unusual corrugated arch section.
A short uncovered stretch, then it's back underground.
A new RCP side tunnel lead off to a CSO chamber. This machine housed a 5m long archimedes screw.
Old...... very old....... and dodgy looking....
For most of this drain you can keep your feet dry, walking along the pavement.
Short section of corrugated arch.
Sodium glow.
A significant junction leads up another long drain, long enough for it's own name - Cyclops. This hasn't been fully explored yet, so more photos to follow.
The brickwork and architecture creates an awesome atmosphere down there.
This amazing artwork caught my eye. The inscription reads "When dreams Come True".
Finally, the end, but what an awesome view over Leeds City Centre.
The exploration crew - Drainrat, Jasonbirder, DDT and Oggy.
