When we chanced upon this very impressive outfall, we thought we might be in for another drain of Bunker's class. |
Just inside the big flaps in a manhole chamber. |
200m in, and the 2.5m RCP split into a 2m and a 1.8m RCP. The small right hand one remains to be explored... |
This main RCP twisted and turned for a long way before coming to a split - two parallel 1.5m RCP's ran for about 50m until joinng back up. |
The chamber in which the two RCP's joined up again. |
One for the album! |
Another march up more and more RCP and we came to another junction. The small left pipe shrank to nothing. |
The right hand pipe shrank slower and after about 300m was too small to continue, we popped the lid and were back out topside. |
